Since 2018, all of our production has been made in Sweden, with most of it taking place just one hour from our Stockholm studio. This close proximity allows us to work directly with our production partners, ensuring the highest quality standards and a truly sustainable way of manufacturing.

Manufacturing process

Over the years, HAHA studio has refined its production methods through close collaboration with a small network of Swedish craftsmen, many of them family-run specialists. Working in close proximity allows us to visit regularly, maintain high standards, and develop new solutions together.

One of our core strengths is allowing materials to speak for themselves. Many of our lamps are designed to reveal traces of both the material and the machine in the final form.

Our primary material, aluminium, is 100% recyclable, and every lamp is built so its components can be easily separated. Making repair and recycling simple and sustainable.

Design principle

HAHA studio follows the principle of Design for Disassembly. Every product can be taken apart using simple tools. This allows for easy repair, long-term use, and straightforward recycling at the end of its life. Nothing is glued, heat-bonded, or made with harmful chemicals.

Our mission is to minimize environmental impact through small-scale, made-to-order production. By controlling our entire manufacturing process and working without middlemen, we avoid unnecessary transport, storage, and waste.
