In the 1960s, architect Peter Celsing redesigned the building’s interior, introducing a set of custom lamps created specifically for the space. These original fixtures have since disappeared, leaving only photographic documentation.

HAHA studio was tasked with developing a contemporary interpretation of Celsing’s lighting, based solely on archival imagery. The result is a family of bespoke wall and pendant lamps that reference the proportions, detailing, and material character of the originals while translating them into a present-day context.

HAHA studio delivered a cohesive lighting family, fully custom-designed and produced as a tribute to Peter Celsing’s architectural legacy.

Production combined multiple manufacturing techniques, including 3D-printed aluminum, CNC machining, and handcrafted metalwork. Acrylic rods surrounding the light source create depth and function as an integrated diffuser, producing a soft and even light distribution. Precision brass detailing adds refinement and tactility.

The lighting is installed in the entrance reception, as well as in the building’s restaurant and bar operated by Pontus Frithiof, reinforcing a consistent architectural identity across the interior.
